Responsible Travel

Frozen Himalayas have always believed that if you do something and there is no benefit to the community then there is no beauty in that work. Therefore we have been constantly teaming with people and using their knowledge and expertise to shape the future of Ladakh.

We have been creating responsible tourism itineraries for people who want to travel and make a difference. Currently our friends and clients are sponsoring under privileged kids to go to school, building houses for the poor, helping struggling people financially - giving them dignity in their day to day existence, teaching skills to children which they will never learn in govt schools and aiding in the distribution of medicines and medical equipment to the remote places and hospitals. Responsible Tourism

Frozen Himalayas have always believed that if you do something and there is no benefit to the community then there is no beauty in that work. So we have been constantly teaming with people and using their knowledge and expertise to shape the future of Ladakh. We have been creating responsible tourism itineraries for people who want to travel and make a difference. Currently our friends and clients are sponsoring under privileged kids to go to school, building houses for poor people, sponsoring the underpriveleged people in their day to day life, teaching skills to children which they will never learn in govt schools and the distribution of medicines and medical equipment to the remote places and hospitals. From last 5 years we are promoting responsible tourism and taking people to the places where they can make a difference in the lives of people who are living in the heart of Himalayas.
We have successfully worked with Yang –Ming from the University of Taiwan to distribute the Ortho –medical equipment to Sonam Nurboo Memorial Hospital (SNM) in Leh, Ladakh.
We are also heading an international team with Ulli Felber of Austria since 2010, which is now making a big difference in the lives of so many people. This program is titled "Support Ladakh" and is an Austrian-Indian charity project founded in 2010 under the German name "Hilfe für Ladakh" (Austrian website: www.ladakh-hilfe.com).

We execute trips all throughout the year with the minimum group of 5 to 6 people.
For example:
1. Workshops with Nomadic children in the Changthang region of Ladakh
2. Arts and health workshops with the children in the remote places of Zanskar and Kargil
3. Clean up treks
4. Visiting the orphaned children and also the underpriveleged families of Ladakh - this usually involves fundaraising in your home country
5. Voluntering at your choice of not-for-profit organisation

Safety is, of course, of utmost importance and you can be assured that every part of the visit is carefully planned and managed by our team.
