Responsible Travel

Frozen Himalayas have always believed that if you do something and there is no benefit to the community then there is no beauty in that work. Therefore we have been constantly teaming with people and using their knowledge and expertise to shape the future of Ladakh.

We have been creating responsible tourism itineraries for people who want to travel and make a difference. Overview

Delightful trek through three valleys of the Indus region known as the "snow leopard" region, where you encounter high peaks and a panoramic view of majestic mountain ranges. In the far – flung northern reaches of India, Ladakh is one of the most remote and sparsely populated regions on earth. Bordered by Tibet, it is often described as the land of numerous passes -“La Dags”. It is also popularly known as the land of peaks and lamas, the broken moon, the roof of the world, the last Shangri-La and Little Tibet. Ladakh is bounded by two of the world’s highest mountain ranges, the Karakorams and the great Himalayas. The altitude of Ladakh varies between 9000 to 14,000 ft. above sea level. Arid and barren but interspersed with isolated settlements, green oasis of swaying poplars and cultivated farmland, it is awe inspiring in its starkness and strange beauty. Ladakh is land of medieval gompas (monasteries) clinging to cliff sides, fluttering prayer flags, a wonderfully gentle people who practice Buddhism, high altitude deserts, rushing rivers, high peaks and passes, but few roads.
