Responsible Travel

Frozen Himalayas have always believed that if you do something and there is no benefit to the community then there is no beauty in that work. Therefore we have been constantly teaming with people and using their knowledge and expertise to shape the future of Ladakh.

We have been creating responsible tourism itineraries for people who want to travel and make a difference. Currently our friends and clients are sponsoring under privileged kids to go to school, building houses for the poor, helping struggling people financially - giving them dignity in their day to day existence, teaching skills to children which they will never learn in govt schools and aiding in the distribution of medicines and medical equipment to the remote places and hospitals. Overview

Frozen Himalayas is honoured to offer the opportunity for schools, colleges and universities from all over to experience being a part of an awesome life changing project during a trip to Ladakh. We offer different tailor made programs, from amateur mountaineering to working with Ladakh's nomadic children, that encourage student's social, community and cross-cultural understanding & growth.

What are we offering? We work with your school or university to customise a program which aims to provide the best opportunity for students and teachers to gain professionally and personally. As part of our program, students can take responsibility for elements of planning and fund-raising, whilst the school benefits from the experience of the Frozen Himalayas Team before, during and after the visit.

During their time in Ladakh, students can experience the real Himalayas, learn about different cultures, wild life, and traditional festivals and take part in exciting expeditions that include trekking and amateur mountaineering. Safety is of course of utmost importance and you can be assured that every part of the visit is carefully planned and managed by our team. For schools, we also offer long-term project involvement and possible integration into the school’s curriculum. We also encourage child sponsorship and are happy to discuss different sponsorship options. For further details you can get in contact with us.

Our programs include:
1. 3 to 4 days voluntary work with the Ladakhi nomadic children and other underprivileged kids
2. Wildlife education tours
3. Stok Kangri Expedition (6200 meters) 4 to 5 days
4. Zingchen to Chilling home stay trek with rafting
5. Cultural tours with monastery, museum, and palace visits
6. Ice hockey classes and a match with the local team (winter activities)
