About Frozen Himalayas

Gathered experiences from many an outdoor expedition, Frozen Himalayas, started with a simple philosophy, “there is nothing called bad weather if you have the correct equipment & attitude”. Frozen Himalayas is the brain child of two brothers, Gulzar Hussain and Mohammad Imran. These brothers, being born and bred in one of earth’s most remote and beautiful places, have been travelling and exploring their backyard finding new places and sustainable ways of travelling in the Western Himalayas.

Hailing from the Ladakh province of Jammu and Kashmir, Gulzar Hussain has spent much of his time documenting and photographing the nomads, wildlife and culture of the region and pursuing his passion for climbing peaks in the mountains of the western Himalayas. On the other extreme Mohammad Imran is a prominent trekker, mountain biker and motorcycle rider and loves to share his passion for finding new trails and terrains with people who come to the region for real adventure.
For the last decade the brothers have been taking people with all kinds of special interest into the far reaches of the western Himalayas, giving them the unique expertise to create new and innovative travelling itineraries.
